Background

Carolyn worked in research for NASA for Sky Lab and HL&P early in her career. After taking a break to raise children, she completed law school in 1988 as a single mother and worked for several small law firms. She relocated to Fort Bend County and began her private practice in 1992. She has been involved in political races and even ran for State Senate, District Attorney and County Attorney.

She is a member of the Fort Bend Bar Association, Criminal Bar and Family Bar. Carolyn also works on CPS Cases and Criminal Court appointed cases. She was a founding member of the Specialty DWI Court, which was one of the first in State of Texas. She also gets appointments to Guardianship, Child Custody and Juvenile cases.

Volunteering with the Fort Bend County Fair has been an important part of Carolyn’s life and is a founding member of the Wine Committee.  Other volunteer experience includes the Fort Bend Master Gardeners and Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on the Art Committee.

Carolyn owns and operates a 55 acre cattle ranch stocked primarily with longhorn cattle. She is self sufficient by growing her own vegetables and raising chickens for fresh yard eggs.
